Name: Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) Project Boundaries

Display Field: SITE_NAME

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon

Description: The dataset depicts the extents of each Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) project from 1985 to Q1 2017. This dataset was created from source documentation gathered from each JLUS Project website found online, as well as, what reports were already gathered by the Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA). It was created and compiled by the Defense Installations Spatial Data Infrastructure (DISDI) Program within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Energy, Installations and Environment, Business Systems and Information Directorate. While every attempt has been made to provide the best available data quality, this dataset is intended for use at mapping scales 1:50,000 and 1:3,000,000. For this reason, boundaries in this dataset may not perfectly align with DoD site boundaries in other federal data sources. Maps produced at a scale of 1:50,000 or smaller which otherwise comply with National Map Accuracy Standards will remain compliant when this data is incorporated. Boundary data is most suitable for larger map scales.
